I sewed up a version of the pattern on a sheet of felt (to match the pretend play kit) and then blanket stitched a second piece of felt to the back. If you decide to try it, I would definitely recommend checking out Sulky Fabri-Solvy*. Rebecca (Hugs Are Fun) told me about it and I now use it every chance I get!
The treasure map fits right in to the pretend play kit but the pattern can also be used for any number of other projects. It might make a fun wall hanging in a pirate or adventure themed bedroom. Check out the Hugs Are Fun post for quite a few more photos of different versions.
If you haven’t already, be sure to check out some of the other great patterns from Issue 10* as well! I can’t wait to make some Adventure Flags* for Monkey’s bedroom and I definitely need to sew an Adventure Case* to hold our Pretend Play Adventure Kit.
