We made it halfway in our series of finger puppets made for the 12 Days of Christmas Holiday Blogger Challenge organized by Deanna of Sew Mccool, in honor of the first anniversary of her blog. 12 Days of Christmas Finger Puppets - Day 6 - Felt With Love Designs

On the sixth day of Christmas
my true love sent to me:
6 Geese a Laying
5 Golden Rings
4 Calling Birds
3 French Hens
2 Turtle Doves
and a Partridge in a Pear Tree

Day 1 & 2 // Day 3  // Day 4 // Day 5 // Day 6 (Today) // Day 7 & 8 // Day 9 // Day 10 // Day 11 // Day 12

To make your own Geese a Laying finger puppet, you will need:

  • The Pattern
  • Felt
  • Thread to match felt
  • Needle
  • Scissors

Day 6 – Six Geese a Laying:

*Felt colors: grey, white, and red

  1. Cut all of the pieces from felt 12 Days of Christmas Finger Puppets - Day 6 pieces - Felt With Love Designs
  2. Using matching thread, sew down the “6” and the eggs 12 Days of Christmas Finger Puppets - Day 6 in progress - Felt With Love Designs
  3. Match up the bird’s front and back and stitch them together using a blanket stitch, leaving the bottom open. I also go back and stitch just the front edge of the opening with a blanket stitch to reinforce it but that is totally optional. 12 Days of Christmas Finger Puppets - Day 6 bottom - Felt With Love Designs
