Pinterest Projects: Free Printable No-Sew Shapes Quiet Book
I came across this free download from Moms Have Questions Too, awhile ago and printed/laminated/cut out the pieces to bring it along for a road trip. I never had the time to run to the store and get the velcro I needed to finish so all the pieces sat in a drawer of my desk for several months.
While at Michael’s recently, I remembered this neglected project and grabbed some velcro dots. With everything cut out, it only took me a few minutes to stick on the velcro dots.
The Monkey was so excited for her new book! She can easily move the pieces from page to page and matches up the shapes quickly. It’s not a challenge at her age but 6 months to about a year ago she would have been entertained by it quite a bit longer.
I created mine the same way as explained in the tutorial except I used the smallest size of velcro dots instead of strips of velcro. The paper pieces aren’t very big so it’s more than strong enough to hold the pieces to the page.
This was a super quick and easy project that would be great for some time stuck in the car (assuming you actually put yours together in time!) It would also make a great (quick!) template to sew a fabric book, if you prefer. I liked the paper version for a bit of a change but it would look great in felt too!
